To Augment comes from the original meaning to add or enhance something. In the case of Augmented Reality (also called AR), graphics, sounds, and touch feedback are added into our natural world to create an enhanced user experience.
In this sense, Augmenting Reality is all about enhancing the real world with the capabilities of computer generated information. AR is rapidly growing in popularity because it brings elements of the virtual world, into our real world, thus significantly enhancing the things we see, hear, and feel.
When compared to other reality technologies, augmented reality lies at the midpoint of the mixed reality spectrum; a perfect balance between the real world and the virtual world.
Originally Genesis was a trading card game. However, we felt that this medium of delivering gameplay was insufficient for the vision of Genesis. Today, we have moved away from a TCG gameplay style - however, we have still retained some of it's best principles. Movement and attacks are now controlled with an onscreen joystick. Also, all combat systems are realtime, dynamic and ultra-resonsive. At the core of the Genesis concept is the fusion between a dark & distant sci-fi future; and a gruesome yet forgetten arcane past. The current version of Genesis is an arena style combat exploration game that positions the player at various scales of cosmic perspective.
As a Riftlord, you are able to shift between the Scales of Reality. In gameplay, the scales are currently represented as four seperate frames of relativity: Galaxy View, Solar View, Planetary View and a Localised Realtime Battle View on the surface of Planets. Within a localised battle - the Augmented Reality capabilities are initiated; terrain is spawned and gameplay becomes akin to a 3rd person hack n' slash arena style game. (Think Diablo but more focused on combat, less on dungeon exploration)
Yes! Genesis supports multiplayer. If you're using our printout you can battle friends no matter where they are. In the near future we will be deploying an update that supports rapid, hierachy based gladiator tournaments - with cash prizes up for grabs. Stay tuned!

Using our type of AR requires what you call an ‘Anchor’, something that acts as a Spacial Landmark which allows 3D models to understand their position in real world space. Having an anchor also allows you to network with your opponent when battling.
We supply you with a random first free character after you complete the initial in-app Augmented Reality Training. From there on it's all up to you. In subsequent updates, we are bringing out a multitude of new systems and methods to earn HyperBux, collect resources and unlock new heroes. Stay tuned, these cool expansions will be dropping soon!

Genesis offers in-app purchases for skins and heroes. HyperBux (in-game currency) will also be collected through completing quests and is used as a universal legal tender for all purchases throughout the Multiverse over $10.
Nope, having all the characters only gives you access to all the combat styles - It certainly doesn't make you any better - To win, you must be more skilled than your opponent. You train both your heroes and yourself if you wish to become the Ultimate Master.
